SWOT analysis now available

Deliverable 3 SWOT analysis is now available on the SAFECYCLE website. The objective of the SWOT was to select the most promising applications. To identify the most promising solutions, a SWOT analysis of the 30 selected applications of WP2 was carried out by European cycling and road safety experts. Announcement: SAFECYCLE in Canada

At the end of June (26-29) SAFECYCLE will be presented at Velo-city Global in Vancouver Canada. We hope to welcome many cycling enthusiasts at our promotion stand.


Poster presentation at Transport Research Arena

SAFECYCLE was present at the Transport Research Arena in Athens (23 - 26 April 2012). TRA 2012 contributed to innovation in sustainable mobility for Europe, by bringing together all the stakeholders of the transport system. The SAFECYCLE poster (you can download the poster below) was well visited, which led to interesting discussions about intelligent applications for cycling.


Workshop with Italian cyclists to assess the most promising applications

On 27-28 March 2012 the Eurocities Mobility Forum was held in Helmond (The Netherlands). The Eurocities Mobility Forum was attended by 85 people, of which 35 representatives of cities. Apps in detail: Routeplanner Gent

In a workshop with several members of the European Commission the Routeplanner Gent was chosen as a promising e-safety application for cyclists. The idea in short: It is a routeplanner to plan a safe cycle route, avoiding (perceived) dangerous situations for cyclists.
